A nose job, medically known as Rhinoplasty, provides a surgical solution to issues with self-confidence due to uneven, damaged or unsatisfactory nasal structure. With rhinoplasty in Turkey, patients are given the opportunity to reshape and realign their nose in a number of ways to help enhance and balance out their facial features. Available as both open rhinoplasty, which involves a small incision between the nostrils, and closed rhinoplasty, which features small incisions inside of the nostrils, your nose can be altered to either fix underlying medical issues or to simply provide a more favorable look.
When you opt for a nose job in Turkey at Intramed, you will gain access to an effective solution for both medical and cosmetic issues relating to your nasal area. Whether it’s a misshapen nose, or a blockage of the airways, through reduction and realignment of the cartilage, this can be reduced and repaired.
Upon arrival at our clinics in either Istanbul or Izmir, you will meet with your surgeon and allocated host to discuss the details of your surgery in more depth. This will include the opportunity to express any expectations or desires, ask questions regarding the surgery itself and full access to our detailed nose job simulator which can offer you with a clearer idea as to what you will look like post-procedure. At this point, your surgeon will also provide further details about what he’ll do throughout the procedure.
After signing the forms of consent, you will then go through a number of medical tests to ensure that you are physically fit enough for the procedure. If the results deem you suitable, you will then be put under a general anesthetic and the procedure will begin. This will last between 1 and 2 hours.
Following the nose job procedure, you are required to stay within Turkey for a minimum of six days. On the first night, you will stay within the hospital so our surgeons can perform an initial checkup, and monitor the results throughout the night. You may need to wear a special face mask after the nose job in Turkey to help reduce the swelling and bruising for the first few hours and upon a second check up the following morning, you may be required to stay another night. This can depend on medication requirements, the healing process and the extent of your surgery.
On the third day, you are recommended to stay in your hospital room, with the opportunity to take small walks to get some fresh air. After this day of rest, you are still required to rest, but you can partake in sightseeing tours and other relaxing activities around and beyond your resort, but you must avoid strenuous activity.
On the sixth day, you will have a final check-up at a private clinic with your surgeon. At this point, your bandages and stitches will likely be removed and the dressing changed. You will be given full aftercare instructions, after which you can choose to return home or stay in Turkey for a further few days to enjoy the charms of Istanbul.
We will remain on hand for up to 12 months/a year after your procedure to offer advice, help and guidance in the case of healing or any unlikely side effects. While the likelihood of these effects minimized by our accredited surgeons, there is still the possibility of ill-effects.
